Nurturing Antiracist White Kids course for caregivers and educators
Nurturing Antiracist White Kids is an in-depth online training on white privilege, racism, and antiracism for parents, caregivers, and educators who are ready to:
- reflect on the ways that race shapes white kids’ experiences
- engage in meaningful, age-appropriate dialogue about race with the kids in their lives
- nurture children’s desire to act against racism in practical ways
- identify their unique paths to antiracism as parents and educators.
Educator workshop: exploring systemic racism with elementary age children
This is a 90 minute antiracism training for elementary educators, community workers and religious educators.
In this training, educators will:
- learn kid-friendly definitions of racism + examples of systemic racism kids can understand
- discover antiracist children’s books and songs that can be used in learning plans
- get to know kid and youth activists who are challenging racism
- explore ways to communicate with caregivers about what children are learning
- find practical projects that equip elementary children to both learn about racism and challenge it.
What can I do about racism? An interactive, self-paced workshop for kids ages 7 – 12 and their grownups
In this online racism workshop, kids ages 7 – 12, along with a parent or caregiver, will use art, movement, and storytelling to understand what systemic racism is and why it’s a problem.
You’ll complete an action project of your choice that helps kids stand up against racism. (A guide of sample projects with instructions will be provided.) Children will learn how to harness their unique superpowers to challenge racism in everyday life.
